Rodrigo Amir Vaz

Rodrigo VazRodrigo Amir Vaz received the B.S., and M.S. degrees in telecommunications engineering from University of São Paulo (USP), Brazil, in 2003, and 2007, respectively. He is receiving PhD degree by Mackenzie Presbyterian University in electrical engineering in 2023. He has been with SIDIA DTV Lab / SAMSUNG Visual Display (VD) Group since 2007, where he is currently senior engineer. From 2007 to 2017 he was responsible for terrestrial DTV and Pay TV field and lab tests checking all LATAM countries DTV receivers. From 2018 he also joined the sensing team focusing on DTV standardization and strategic planning besides keeping the previous activities. His research interests include next generation terrestrial broadcasting system, High Dynamic Range (HDR), Video Scalability, Broadband and Broadcast Integration. Mr. Rodrigo is currently member of ISDB-T International and Technical Module of the Brazilian Digital Terrestrial Television Forum (SBTVD Forum) with active participation at WGs level representing SAMSUNG, he is member of Brazilian Television Engineering Society (SET), and he is IEEE student member as well.
