Amanda Xiang

Amanda XiangAmanda Xiang is a Principal Engineer in Wireless Research and Standards at Futurewei Technologies. She has been working in the mobile communication industry for about 22 years at various companies such as Ericsson, Motorola, ZTE and Huawei, taking on different technical and leadership roles. Amanda has been recognized for contributions in various key industry standards for mobile networks since 2005, including WiMAX forum, IEEE802.16, IEEE802.20, 3GPP (SA2, SA1, SA5, RAN2), 3GPP2, WFA, WBA, and ETSI NFV ISG.  Currently she is Futurewei prime delegate in 3GPP SA1 WG and technical contributor in 3GPP SA2 WG focusing on 5G for verticals, such as NPN, PIN, IIoT and Drones. Amanda has a Masters degree of Electrical Engineering from Clemson University in South Carolina.
