Cornelius Hellge

Cornelius Hellge is head of the Multimedia Communications Group at Fraunhofer HHI, Berlin, Germany. He studied Media Technology at Technical University of Ilmenau and received the Dr.-Ing. degree with distinction from the Technical University of Berlin in 2013. Together with his team, he regularly contributes to 3GPP (RAN and SA), MPEG, IETF, and JVET. He has authored more than 60 journal and conference papers. His current research interests include new media formats for Mixed Reality, the new video codec VVC and the further evolution of the 5G standard..
